My Project
Many students have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, and my second graders are part of this group. The students today are not exposed to good literature like students were ten years ago. Many children are not read to as young children. It is our job as educators to introduce children to different types of books. I want my students to develop a love of reading that will grow throughout their lifetime. My students will use the books that are being donated to my classroom on a daily basis. They will get to choose different types of literature.
This classroom project was brought to life by Gov. Jared Polis & the Colorado Dept. of Education.
