Reading Opens A World Of Opportunities

My Project

I've taught fifth grade for seven years. In that time I built up a strong classroom library for my students. Giving students ample reading options improves their chance to fall in love with reading. Reading also provides the chance to learn empathy as it opens new worlds.

This year, I am moving to 3rd grade.

This means my library needs to be updated to meet the reading needs of my new students. Last year I cut my library down as I donated the higher level books that would not be appropriate in a third-grade classroom. So, while I still have high-level books appropriate for third grade, I need help to expand the lower range so that all of my students have reading options available. Please help me improve my library to meet my students' needs!

Reading is good for the soul and choices improve the chance to make all students readers.
