My students from Hawai'i are eager learners. They are creative, thoughtful, caring, and passionate about learning. They love to find solutions to problems and focus on hands-on activities. They come to class ready to learn and always have an abundance of questions.
Nearly the entire school population receives free or reduced lunch, English language learner, and/or their families do not have the money to purchase supplies due to the ongoing pandemic.
Please help my students achieve their educational goals. They love various methods of learning, whether it be by computer, in group work, or small discussions. Their ongoing curiosity is an inspiration to me every day!
My Project
My students are eager to return to the classroom setting. Help me provide them a warm, inviting spot to enjoy a great book or find their next read. This flexible seating area is an inviting space that will inspire my students to pick up a good book to enhance their literacy skills. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
The cozy chairs and bean bag chairs are a great way for students to relax.
The products I've chosen will provide additional seating options other than a traditional desk and chair setup. The rug is a nice home touch to spruce up the classroom and add to the home feel. My hope is that with these new seating options, students will be inspired to read more thus enhancing their literacy skills and preparing them for middle school.
