My Project

Hello! I teach at a Title I school where at times, many resources are difficult for us to obtain. I am a middle school ELA teacher and have been working with my students to really foster their learning and boost up their reading levels. Throughout the year, they have expressed interest in a certain books they would love to have in our classroom library and while I was able to purchase some on my own, there are other books I am unable to purchase.

My students and I are working on building a reading nook which is an area in the room dedicated to reading.

This will cut out a lot of the time spent looking for an area in the classroom to read. I've taken down a book inventory with a few books they are interested in as well as a few seats for our little nook. It would mean the world to my students and I to get our project funded. The look on their faces is going to be priceless!
