My Project

These materials will be used for the primary floor’s reading nook. Right now we have a table and two small couches, but I am looking to fill the space with a few more furniture pieces.

Our goal is to make this space a cozy place for students to get excited about reading.

We have many students below grade level in reading skills who receive reading intervention in order to help fill these literacy gaps. Our reading interventionist and reading tutors at our school typically use the hallways to do quick interventions. This reading nook is the next step in creating a comfortable place to get our students more excited about reading during their intervention time.
