My Project

I'm so excited to be starting a new reading intervention program soon with my students. One component of the program is independent reading time. I want to give my students a comfy, interesting reading nook to encourage their excited participation during reading time.

I want to make them look forward to reading!

My plan is for this small sofa to be the central item in a reading nook in my classroom. I want to make it part of place they want to be so they will look forward to their reading time. All teachers know that students who read more learn more, and I know that this sofa as the cornerstone of my reading nook will help them do just that.

My students need to practice, practice, practice their reading, and this first step to my reading nook will be a great start to that practice!
