My Students
My students come from a wide range of both cultural and economic backgrounds, but when we enter our classroom we all come together and become mathematicians, scientists, athletes, authors, historians and scholars. Overall we become a family helping each other be the best we can be at anything and everything we choose.
The wonder and enthusiasm my students have for life and learning inspires me each day to do my very best to provide them with an uplifting and welcoming learning environment.
As a first year teacher, each day with my students is a new adventure and full of discovery and unforgettable memories.
My Project
These materials will create a cozy reading nook for my students in our classroom. Reading is such an important skill that helps create life-long learners.
With this nook, students will be excited to dive into a good book.
My students are working on reading both non-fiction and fiction books to help them grow their knowledge on all sorts of topics and help their love of reading for fun flourish. I know that my students will get lost in their books when they are in this nook.
Entering the tent will be such a fun "getaway" for them to get lost in a book. The pillows will help keep them cozy and offer uplifting messages to remind them to stay positive. This reading nook will also help them feel comfortable and excited to learn in our classroom.
