This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Where is your favorite place to read? On a couch? In a coffee shop? Relaxing in the sun? I am trying to create a favorite place for my students to read.
I have 9 students who all fall under the autism umbrella.
They are energetic, creative, unique and keep me on my toes. I work at a Title 1 school where my students come from all different background. I strive to teach and provide my students with as much as I can. I work very hard to create a safe, fun and positive environment for all to learn.
My Project
I have been teaching at my school for 11 years. I am constantly purchasing new books to expand our classroom library. The school only provides a cubed shaped bookshelf, which has now become full, and I have a bookshelf that I purchased myself that is full as well. These bookshelves and book bins will allow me to organize and create a comfortable area in my classroom for my students to read.
This project will enable me to continue to enrich my students school experience in the area of reading.
The bookshelves and book bins will help me to create the perfect reading nook for them to read in!
