This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am in my second year of teaching music at my school. Over the last year, I noticed the quality of stands has been preventing all my students from having their own. We are promoting independence in our classroom; when students share a stand they become dependent upon each other and do not make notations in their own music. Having their own stand also allows students to easily move around when asked to work on independent practice or in small groups. I am looking to add a few more stands to my classroom to ensure each student has a chance to learn independently.
