Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarteners learn best through fun, hands-on experiences. These materials support hands-on learning opportunities for my students in the areas of math, reading, and science. The materials I have requested will help keep my students engaged and excited about new content concepts. They will use the playdough to build sensory awareness and create letters. They will use the translucent rounds to identify letters and numbers. They will also use the book companion kits and headphones to listen to books and retell stories which will foster a love for reading. I am also requesting a new magnetic dry erase board. This will be used for our new phonics and math curriculums. Our current magnetic board is broken and unstable. It regularly falls off of our shelf.
