My Students

I am so incredibly lucky to have amazing 2nd graders during my first year of teaching. Due to the pandemic we are all online, but still having so much fun!! I am hoping to find more ways to get them engaged and reading is something our class LOVES!

My Project

As a first year teacher my library is quite small with some very old reading material. I want to provide to my students the opportunity to read material that they enjoy!

Everyone loves the feeling of getting a brand new book.

Teaching 2nd grade has shown me that reading levels have a wide variety. Most of the books in my collection are chapter books, so I wanted to provide them with more picture books.

I hope that with some new books my students will fall in love with reading as much as I did!
