Help me give my students a distraction free classroom that will help them focus on what they are doing. Using Match It! in the centers will help us with a great variety of fun and colorful activities.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a great group of students. Nearly all of my students come from a low-income household and their families have not yet recovered from hurricane Harvey . It is very challenging for them to be successful because they don't have the resources they need. I trully beleive that it should not be an excuse to not fullfill their dreams.
They know how to take care of their own learning.
I have 15 amazing lives to take care off, they just make my life more fun and valuable. I just love them so much, I am looking forward for them to become great leaders and better human beings. They are the best!
My Project
We are looking for headphones for our tablets, chromes and computers. If we have our project fully funded, my students will have the opportunity to improve a lot in their fluency level while reading and the level of comprehension will improve as well. Also, using the headphones will help them concentrate on their station without any distractions. Most of my students are great readers, but they need to practice and develop comprehension. Our goal is for all of our students to grow at least three reading levels during the year. For our writing we ask for Match It! It will provide a great set of sentences and words in Spanish and English so they can extend their vocabulary in both languages. We are planning to use the writing journals for the lower kids so they can have access to new vocabulary words and find them more easily.
