Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will complete in class vs. class competitions to see who can read the most each week. Over the next three weeks, students will work though the bracket and only two teams will remain! The winning class will receive a snack and medal to honor their team effort and motivation. The second place team will receive a snack for also working hard and for striving to be the class champion. Students are developing bilingual literacy skills and this type of reading competition will mirror the March Madness bracket to track minutes read in each classroom.
