it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching students to read is my passion. Seeing a child work hard to master letters and sounds is amazing. I love teaching phonics using the Science of Reading methods. Studies show that one in five students is dyslexic. The odds are that I will have at least one or more students in my classroom each year with some form of learning disability. Using the art trays, alphabet chips, and other hands-on phonics manipulatives helps to reinforce letters and sounds. These materials will help me teach phonics during my morning reading center time. Students will work with me in small groups as they learn to blend the sounds together to read words. My students are always eager to learn and having these engaging reading manipulatives will help to foster their love for learning.
The Kleenex is for students to use as we go through a lot of tissue in kindergarten.
Being that is the first year of school for many children, many students get sick throughout the year.
