This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am currently taking classes to get my master's in reading. Over the summer, I went to a reading conference and met many new authors. I would love to introduce these authors and their books to my classroom!

I would love to do an author study where students are researching the author and reading the books the author wrote!

Then students could take a turn being an author and writing their own story just like the author did. I am trying to incorporate more read alouds in my instruction and then displaying the book for the students to read on their own too! They love to read a book after I have read it aloud to them!
