My Project
I am moving to third grade and a self contained classroom next year. I am very excited to be going back to teaching reading.
Reading is the base of success in all of education. I know that small group reading instruction and experiences make a huge difference in engagement and applying knowledge.
I am trying to get my students sets of novels to help them increase their reading fluency and engagement. With the novel sets, I will be able to allow students to select their own books and let that drive the instruction. I have found that this makes a huge difference in students wanting to read!
