This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It has been nearly a year and a half since the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly ended physical schooling for my students. As my students return to in-person instruction, they are faced with the challenges of trying to reach their grade-level standards.
Please help me by providing literacy materials for my students.
These materials will help my students to achieve their literacy level within their grade.
Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my classroom strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
My group consists of 24 first grade students.
These students are just beginning their first experience with school (in a physical) classroom. They are excited and eager to learn. I am a strong believer that "If you involve students in many different activities and experiences, eventually they will find something that they love and will strive to be the best.
My Project
These magnetic letters and boards will continue to enhance the literacy experience for my students. My classroom is a place where my students come to learn to read. What a better way to do that, through playing literacy games. All of these materials have been chosen with my students in mind. With the recent pandemic and the lack of in-person instruction, I have noticed that my students will benefit from literacy support. Students will be able to choose materials, which will help them continue to learn and enjoy literacy.
With these new materials, my students will be able to engage in independent literacy activities to help enhance their learning.
The best way to improve in literacy is to interact with materials that help promote literacy, and these materials will continue to help my students attain stronger literacy skills. This project will help enrich my student's experiences and will help them improve their literacy.
