My students LOVE graphic novels and nonfiction books. They are quickly devouring one book after another and are eager to read more. Here's where I need your help!
Reading helps our imagination take flight!
My students have really enjoyed reading The Wings of Fire chapter book series and now these books are coming out in Graphic Novel format. These books are about dragons who go on epic adventures in different habitats. I would like to get copies of all seven of them. My students also love the Investi-Gators series and nonfiction. I am requesting a copy of the newest Investi-Gators book and three nonfiction National Geographic books.
I asked my students what it is about these books that they love best and here is what they said. My students said these books are fun to read, very colorful, and full of exciting adventures. They are entertaining and they take a long time to read. My students love books that are longer and that they can enjoy over many days. When they get into a book, they just don't want to put it down!
With your help, I'm hoping to give them the opportunity to continue reading some of their favorite book types and book series. Reading is fundamental, but it should also be fun! Thank you for helping to give these fun books into my students' hands!
