This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have the most extraordinary imagination! They love to hear and tell stories! However, when it comes to reading stories, they struggle to stick with a book. Many students get in a rut slogging through a book that's too challenging for them or doesn't interest them. In turn, they internalize the belief that reading is "boring" or too hard for them. This set of books was selected to target students reading levels and interests, and to have a library of books to turn to and continue their reading journey!

A library of books are reading-level appropriate and match the genres that students requested will promote students to not only start books, but encourage them to follow through on a journey reading that is lifelong!
