My students need 1 set of the American Chiller book series by Johnathan Rand and 5 additional copies of American Chillers #7 Wisconsin Werewolves (we live in Wisconsin).
Move over Goosebumps, welcome to our classroom American Chillers!
My 4th graders attend an urban school in the great state of Wisconsin.
Despite their various backgrounds, ability levels and low socioeconomic status (approximately 95% receive free or reduced lunch), they work together to create community in the classroom.
My Project
Many of my students love reading Goosebumps books but there just aren't enough to go around. I recently stumbled upon the American Chiller series, which is an engaging book series with ties to various states in our country. By purchasing this series and several copies of our home state book, I hope to provide all of my students an opportunity to read something interesting to them.
This project is important because it will put more quality and engaging books in our classroom library.
Additionally, we study the state of Wisconsin in 4th grade, so the Wisconsin books will supplement our unit nicely.
