This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading is fundamental and unfortunately, the majority of my students are below reading level. 100% of my students are socially and economically disadvantaged and these supplies would be a great help! In order for my students to comprehend what they read, they need to learn strategies and this variety of task cards would be a great help.
The students will use these task cards in small group and individually.
Working together with the task cards with help build stamina and teamwork amongst the students. I will be able to use the task cards as a guide during intervention time to help students use different strategies being taught throughout the year.
My students are amazing and want to learn how to read before they get to middle school. They are pushing themselves every day and motivating each other. I want to help them succeed and pursue their goals in life.
