My Project
Covid-19 impacted so many lives and not in a good way. My students this year lost one of their favorite teachers to Covid-19. That teacher loved reading to his classes. He had an impact on their reading. However, as schools were asked to shut down and kids had to stay home, reading became less important to many students. They lacked the resources at home that school provides when in session. Many students lost their love of reading. It is my goal to ensure that each student that leaves my classroom gains that love of reading that Mr. C gave them before the pandemic. I believe that in order to gain a love of reading, students need to find books that they enjoy. With this donation of books, I feel that my students will have better opportunities to find books they love because we will have them readily available.
