My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that we strive to create. Our classroom library is a place that our students really enjoy. Making sure we have a wide variety of books for the children, with high-level interest is a HUGE deal for us. We want to give them Historical Fiction Books they are wanting to read. Every student book that is placed in our library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read.
All of these books have been chosen based on the genre we touch upon here in our classroom in both reading and writing.
After the pandemic, we feel they need to be able to enjoy reading with titles that interest them. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level on the genre we study. History is such a part of life nowadays more than ever. We do a big unit on Historical Fiction Reading and Writing.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help our students grow stronger in reading.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
