Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students become readers starting in the first grade. These books will allow my students to enjoy what they read at their level. They will want to continue to read because they will have books for their enjoyment and not feel they have to read because someone tells them to.
I want my students to become lifelong readers.
I want them to be able to choose books that are interesting to them. These books will also help update my classroom library. I want my students to have a love for books.
My goal for this project is to let my students choose books that they are interested in and will enjoy reading that they would want to share with their classmates.
My students are special because they are sponges who want to learn and become great readers. They want to read books that will make them laugh, be happy, and imagine that they are part of the book. Many students have commented that they want to become authors because of a book they have read.
