My Project

The books I’m requesting already have a special place waiting for them in our classroom—on the shelves of our cozy reading nook, in the hands of eager readers, and in the hearts of first graders discovering the magic of stories for the very first time. These titles have been carefully selected to reflect a diverse range of voices, experiences, and reading levels, ensuring that every student can find a book they connect with and feel excited to read.

These books will be used daily during independent reading, partner reading, and small-group instruction.

They'll help support foundational skills like phonemic awareness and fluency while also sparking joy and a love for reading. Some titles will be used as mentor texts to model comprehension strategies, while others will simply be there for the pleasure of getting lost in a good story.

By donating to this project, you’re not just helping stock a bookshelf—you’re opening doors to new worlds for my students. Many of my learners don’t have access to books at home, so our classroom library is a critical place where they can grow as readers, thinkers, and lifelong learners.

Your support will bring the gift of literacy to a group of students who are ready to learn, imagine, and explore through the pages of a book. Thank you for helping me create a classroom where every child can see themselves as a reader.
