My Project

Third grade is a time where we figure out how fun reading can be! My students have shown a great interest in reading and they check books out of our classroom library often. We need more books that will help push them to love reading even more and challenge them to take on types of books that they may not have chosen before. I know once they get into reading chapter books and seeing how fun and engaging it can be, they will be hooked! I want to encourage any reluctant readers to grab a book that looks interesting and dive in.

Having a variety of chapter books to choose from will definitely keep my students engaged in reading, and coming back for more.

They will feel more confident and ready to take on any book they encounter. They will also continue to improve in their schoolwork, on tests, and in their everyday lives.

These books will encourage my students to read independently without being asked. They may even want to discuss the books or even write about them. How cool would that be? Books open up so many possibilities for growth and I want to be able to provide that to my students.
