Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I serve about 30 students from second and third grade. My students are a part of our Chinese Immersion program. They are eager learners who are hardworking and are practicing how to have a growth mindset.
My school serves students who are from varying backgrounds and ability levels.
They need research based materials to help them in the teaching and learning process. Though the school population is primarily from a background of high poverty, my students deserve resources that are rich in high yield strategies to help minimize and eradicate the educational gap.

My Project
My students are in 2nd and 3rd grade and are preparing for this level of teaching and learning. The New York State Grade 3 ELA Test Prep will be used with my 3rd graders who will be getting ready for the end of year examination. They need to become familiar with the format of testing and this workbook will assist them in this endeavor.
The Common Core English Workbook is at the ideal level for my 2nd grade students.
These activities are interesting and skills based. They cover the North Carolina required standards.
