My Students
My students are eager to learn but unfortunately, they do not have the full support to be able to thrive. They go through dramatic events both at home and school but they are special in their own way.
Another reason for the DonorsChoose list is to ensure that my students have the books for independent reading that we will be doing from home.
My Project
These books will be used in independent reading while doing virtual learning and will help them engage in great conversation. Doing this time in the world, I want my students to appreciate their culture more and strive to want more out of life. A lot of my students live in urban areas and they see violence and troubling things. Some of my students have lost loved ones and their idea of a happy life seems to disappear. Please help me let them see the world in a different light. Thanks!
