My Students
My students are imaginative, creative, clever, enthusiastic, and overall fun-loving girls. Most of them come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their community. Our school provides a rigorous education that is needed in today's society. We are an academically focused all-girl school that will show everyone that we have beauty and brains.
My Project
COVID-19 closed our school in March of 2020, and this presented a challenge for many. As a teacher, my job is to educate my students. One effective way is to allow my students to have their own copy of each novel we read. During the second quarter of the school year, my students will be required to read Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt.
If each girl has her own novel it will allow her to start a personal library as well as annotate Tuck Everlasting for class.
No one should ever be denied access to having their own personal library. Each girl having her own novel is something she will be able to keep with her for a lifetime.
