Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to ignite a genuine passion for reading among my students. With the rise of technology and digital distractions, many students find it challenging to connect with books, making it increasingly difficult to cultivate a reading culture in the classroom.

To counter this trend, I plan to implement engaging strategies such as interactive book clubs, themed reading challenges, fun reading accessories like the table lamps for a cozy feeling, I plan to do a bookmark craft to get the students exited, they will use witches fingers as reading pointers just for fun and to be able to follow their reading, and creative storytelling sessions, all designed to bring literature to life.

By providing diverse reading materials that reflect their interests and backgrounds, I hope to inspire my students to discover the joy and adventure that reading can offer.
