My Project
First grade is a pivotal grade level for reading. I would like to make my reading corner more inviting for my little readers. I am asking for cubby storage for the black book bins, to keep seasonal books in. The rug and lights are to make my reading corner comfortable and inviting. I would love the fabric book displays to display books that are currently being read in class. This will make it easier for the students to find a book and take an Accelerated Reader test.
Not only is reading a pivotal skill in first grade, but it is also when students truly start to comprehend what they are reading.
I am asking for the colored trays to put differentiated comprehension pages in. The comprehension pages are general and can be used with any book; the skills assessed on the pages are at different levels. The file folders and storage for them are for to store extra comprehension pages so we don't run out.
