This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a Title I school filled with fragile learners. Remote learning was not the best fit for most of my students and limited their access to books, literacy games and math manipulatives. Building my classroom library will give my students access to rich literature and will allow me to get books in the hands of students who do not have books at home. The sight word literacy game will give me a high engagement tool for practicing sight words. The base 10 blocks will also provide a tool for hands on learning about number sense. And you can never have too many markers in a class!
