My Project
This year's group of second graders have been severely impacted by COVID-19. They ended their kindergarten year online, as well as spent most of first grade online. Both grade levels are essential in providing reading foundational skills that they apply in second grade. My students have grown tremendously throughout second grade and have caught up nearly to grade level in their overall reading. They still have room to grow in order to prepare them for rthid grade and beyond.
The donations to this project will allow my students to become secure in their ability to read independently, and build a love for reading.
By offering a level reader library for my students to choose books from, they will be able to read stories within their individual reading levels and boost their reading capabilities. Thank you so much!
