This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarteners are awesome!! They love to learn and are so excited to come to school. They are learning to recognize their ABCs, learn sight words, count, recognize numbers and ultimately read!! They are learning a lot! Their little minds are like sponges! They soak all the learning up!

My kindergarteners are bright, energetic and ready to learn.

They come to school sometimes with challenges such as learning a second language, poverty, and family discord. However, that doesn't stop them from coming into the classroom every day with a smile!! I have the best job ever to every day to inspire these little minds!

My Project

We are seeking new books to refresh out class library! Our class library books are looking a little rough and we need to be replace. Our class library is a place where beginning readers can discover the joy of reading. Here, we get to learn book handling skills, picture reading and even practice all the new sight words and new reading skills we are acquiring in our classroom. Students get to choose their own books and simply learn to be readers. Beginning readers need to experience reading as wonderful, joyful, exciting skill!
