My Students
My eager beavers love to read and learn. I want all of my students reading on grade level by the end of the school year. That can't be done without your support, these books are necessary for raising student achievement.
We are a Title I school.
I have students from all over the globe; including Haiti, Bangladesh, Romania, and Santo Domingo, so I have An ELL classroom. My school is goal oriented and passionate about educating children and working together as a team. The children I work with are sweet and hard working, but lack the skills to meet the CCSS.
My Project
My students and I will use the leveled readers in guided reading groups as well as centers. The non-fiction listening center is going to excite them so much, as well as the hands on sight words center for my emergent students. My students will be able to work independently while I work with a small group, allowing student growth for all in the classroom.
Donations to this project would be outstanding!
It would enable my students to work independently and develop literacy skills needed to compete with their peers. Working independently and in groups will build confidence, maturity, social skills as well as their literacy skills. Students will enjoy what they are reading most importantly. These new books will really make learning fun when they can read on their level.
