Reading Is Fun When You Have a Fun Book!

Help me give my students a fun, diverse library full of books that they can relate to.

My Project

My students love a good book! Our classroom library is in need of more diverse, social-emotional, holiday, and growth mindset titles.

Many lessons can be learned through fun picture books- this project helps to accomplish that!

These books will help my students relate to characters who may be going through similar things they are, and help them learn valuable skills in dealing with those issues. I have also included some fun holiday titles to rotate seasonally to keep our classroom library choices fresh.

I plan to use some of these titles at the beginning of the school year to help teach classroom expectations and procedures as well. Teaching behavior skills through books is much more effective than traditional teaching due to the fun pictures and comical storylines. Students remember the skills so much better through a book!
