This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The incredible students in my classroom come from many backgrounds contributing to their varied interests. This project would allow students an opportunity to choose books from an array of reading materials and utilize reading skills on an online platform to improve reading comprehension. Students will choose books and practice reading to family members as well as reading in school.
Research has shown that books in the home and school environment are proven to positively benefit children in ways that far outreach the educational setting.
All this reading will increase both fluency and reading comprehension while fostering a community of readers!
A ReadnQuiz online subscription will improve students' social well-being as well as boost their reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Included in this project are treats such as Goldfish, Fruit Rollups, and toy cars. These simple items can be used as encouragement and compliments for a job well done during reading.
Funding this project will benefit my students for the entire school year!
