My Students

I teach at a Turnaround school in Atlanta, GA. My school serves a very low-income community and my students struggle daily to be focused, present, and open-minded. Even though some of them struggle at home, my classroom will be a safe haven for all of my students to relax and unwind.

My students are my EVERYTHING!

They make me better, they get on my nerves, but they have my whole heart and I will do anything to make sure they reach their goals!

My Project

These materials will allow my students to fully explore the world of reading and give them the materials to be successful in their own way. Some of the materials offer alternative seating for my students during centers and other materials provide games and activities for center work.

I want my students to love to read by the time they leave me.

And that can definitely happen with these resources. The bean bags will be used in my independent reading corner. The folder games will be used in multiple ways including: teacher led, centers, enrichment, and remediation. We are going to use the dry erase boards for grammar practice, centers, vocabulary and word work.
