it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Reading is Awesome!!!
Every morning in homeroom, my students get the opportunity to read a book of their own choosing.
It is quiet in the room, so they are able to focus and get lost in the story. For these few precious moments, my students can pretend, hope, and dream along with the characters of the books they read.
My students' reading skills are below grade-level, so these books will help my students improve their reading skills, including increasing their vocabulary knowledge.
My Project
If my project gets funded, my students will have a wonderful selection of awesome books to read. The books I selected are those that my students requested, so I know they'll be excited to read them.
In order for my students to succeed in high school, college, and beyond, they need to improve their reading skills.
To achieve this goal, my students need to read more, and they need to read books that interest them.
Being a success in life starts with reading, first and foremost. Reading awesome books can help my students understand themselves and the world around them.
