Help me give my students mystery books to conduct book clubs during our mystery reading unit.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Holmes's classroom raised $579

My Project
I teach 34 fourth grade students who have a love for reading. One of my goals this year is to focus on conducting book clubs throughout the school year. We cover many different reading units. One of them being a mystery unit. We do not have enough sets of mystery books for us to hold reading clubs, let alone enough books for each student to read their own mystery chapter book.
By adding 4th grade mystery chapter books to our classroom library, we will have enough small sets of mystery books to have book clubs during reading.
These books will be utilized to create small groups based on reading levels. Students will have a mystery book to read at their appropriate reading level & partners that they can discuss and work on their reading comprehension with. In addition to learning about the different components of mystery books.
The chairs will be used for reading groups to sit in various locations around the classroom. This will help to create a comfortable reading nook for group members to read quietly together and discuss their mystery novels.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
