This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Scanmarker air pen scanner and translator pens will make a difference in the rate of achievement in reading. Reading is in all subjects. When reading goes up, all subjects go up.
My goal for our blended English Language Arts classes is for all students to make at least a grade level increase.
We will be able to measure our progress through our NWEA assessments. These pens will benefit our English Language Learners, our SPED students, and our general education students. They will be used in a co-taught model with two teachers.
Our classes of 25-28 students will take turns using the pens. We are already using two pens that we received from a previous DonorsChoose project. Since we started using the two pens, it is apparent that we need more.
Help me reach this diverse blended learning group. Give the class more pens so more students can benefit from this technology. When more students use the pens, less stigma is attached. Thank you so much!
