Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to add to my classroom library more genres of books. This will allow students to open their minds to reading. They do 20 minutes of Dyad Reading a day. Having more books in my classroom library will give my students more opportunities to find books that are of interest to them.
I would also be able to use these books to help students build a wider understanding of their reading core standards.
My students are lower in reading and always tell me they will never find a book they would like. Having a variety of books gives students the chance to find a book or genre they like.
