This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year Librarian at the very Elementary school I attended as a child. My ultimate goal this year is to give my student a comfortable, inviting place to escape and enjoy a good book. Furthermore, I want to use the basic supplies to engage the students to slow down and use creative thinking to draw, read, or complete a puzzle. Our school holds a diverse group of students from special needs to English language learners.
The items I'm requesting are going to make a difference to refresh and rebuild our little library, as well as give my students the opportunity to have a safe a quiet place to help their imagination grow!
