This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love Science and are very curious to learn more than I can teach them. I want to provide them with Weekly Readers to enhance their learning and spark their interest in the subjects.
My school does not have enough textbooks for my students. I decided to try to brighten their day by providing them with Weekly Readers. This way we can read in the classroom and learn something new and exciting! My students are curious about global warming, endangered species, volcanoes and many other topics related to Science. I want to be able to improve their reading skills in a fun, and creative way.
In order for this project to be successful, my students need 30 subscriptions for Weekly Reader. This will provide my students with a chance to read about Science--either to start class and get them excited or as a way to reward them for good behavior.
If you donate to this project, you will help my students learn about Science in ways some never imagined or have ever experienced. I can't wait to see the looks on my students' faces when they realize we get to read about cool, gross, and thrilling Science "stuff." You will bring a smile to their faces.
