Reading in the Garden

Help me give my students books to read inside the classroom and out in our school garden. The benches will also give our students a place to sit and read in the garden.

My Project

I work at a small title I school. Many of my students live in an apartment. Having the school garden gives the students a backyard of their own and so many different learning experiences.

We use our garden for a quiet reading place but also as a mindfulness space.

The benches provide a place for students to sit and enjoy the peacefulness. The new books on our list were chosen by my students. These books are ones that are often already in use at the library so this gives them a chance to read current books.
