My Students

I have an amazing class of seventeen active and ambitious first graders who come from very diverse backgrounds. My students are always eager to learn and love coming to school. I feel we have had a tight bond and we are like family! We are always learning to be kind and compassionate learners! We work hard and get a lot of things accomplished during our day! They are very active so it helps to include lots of movement throughout the day!

My Project

Reading in style means enjoying all there is to reading! I have asked for some fun interactive games and pillows so they can relax and enjoy reading!

Teaching first grade reading is huge, that's where most first graders start there reading experience.

We start teaching them blends, digraphs and many more reading strategies that help launch their reading. I have asked for vowel and digraph games because this is a fun interactive way that they can build on their skills that I teach them! They students learn so much through play!

The pillows will allow my students to find a comfortable place in my classroom to relax and just enjoy reading!
