My Project

My students are from all over the world. Many fled their counties and took little with them. They are now in my newcomer classroom learning English. I know most of my students and their families are missing having books in their home language. I want to start building a bilingual classroom library where students can check out books from me in their primary language and take them home to read with their families. The stronger they are in the primary language the faster they will learn English. Also, it will help families be able to read together again.
