This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I am responsible for educating a class of highly energetic Title I second grade students. I am blessed to have a group of twenty-seven students who love to read, write and learn in general. These kids come from very diverse backgrounds and deserve the best education I can provide.

Each year, I strive to provide my students with an academically rigorous education that not only is at their level, but helps to push them to the next level.

I have worked extremely hard at providing my classroom with as many learning materials as possible; however, there are a few that we need some assistance obtaining.

My Project

As a teacher it is my duty to create a classroom learning environment that is clear of clutter and provide my students with as many engaging activities as possible. One of the easiest ways to do this is to provide math based literature and have their math materials ready to go each day.

Each year I research and work tirelessly to create engaging math lessons that are also hands on.

One of the best ways I have found to create engaging hands on math lessons is to have materials and books that are based on the topics we are learning about readily available. With this project my students will be provided with a way to keep their materials organized as well as literature that will be used to introduce lessons and develop concepts being taught.
