it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! They try hard and always want to reach their full potential. However, the resources in our school can be scarce. Many of my students are far below grade level and need added support and resources in order to reach grade level standards.
My classroom is diverse.
As an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class, we have students of varying ability levels who require diverse instruction and varied materials to meet their individual needs. Teachers are given a very limited amount of money to purchase materials for the classroom. Unfortunately, this doesn't come close to covering what our classroom really needs.
My Project
Many of my students are struggling with basic reading comprehension skills. My students need fun activities and engaging stories to explore during centers and small group instruction. They will be able to use the Fluency Cards to improve fluency, decoding, finding evidence, and other important comprehension skills. The Read With a Pen close reading kits will give my students confidence while reading which will only increase their love for reading.
These materials will change my students' lives for the better because they will feel success and have fun while learning!
