This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love working with 1st-4th graders to help them become proficient readers. The students that I work with are in need of additional support. Several are one to three years behind in their grade, and it is crucial they get the extra support to help them catch up with their grade level peers. Reading is a basic necessity for their educational experience and future. The dry erase markers will be used to write words and sentences that focus on the phonics skill we’re learning. The tissues and sanitizer wipes are to clean the tables and hopefully keep the kids healthy and able to have good attendance. The pencils are for them to write their names on their reading passages.
